Thousands of educators, researchers, and policy makers from around the nation will be taking part in the 2019 STEM for All Video Showcase on May 13-20, 2019. Now in its fifth year, the annual showcase will feature over 240 innovative projects aimed at improving STEM learning and teaching, which have been funded by the National Science Foundation and other federal agencies.

The theme for this year’s event is “Innovations in STEM Education.” Video presentations address improving K-12 STEM classroom, informal environments, undergraduate and graduate education, teacher professional development, and community engagement. Collectively the presentations cover a broad range of topics including science, mathematics, computer science, engineering, cyberlearning, citizen science, maker spaces, broadening participation, research experiences, mentoring, professional development, NGSS and the Common Core.

Virginia Ed Strategies is excited to have our video featured during this powerful event. Our video shares how a networked improvement committee has a tremendous impact on the success of rural teachers by helping them to easily overcome the challenges of being in a rural school district. We will post the link to our specific video when it goes live May 13th. Be sure to look for it on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

We hope that you join us next week at https://stemforall2019.videohall.com to view a variety of impactful videos, discuss them with the presenters online, and vote for your favorite project. We are honored to participate in such a significant national event to support creative ideas and innovative learning opportunities in STEM education.
